Cookies are values stored by a browser for a domain. localStorage is another browser storage mechanism. Declining analytics does not limit site access. Your choice applies to optional technologies beyond cookies.
2. Necessary
course-cookie-consent in localStorage stores categories, date and choice version for 180 days without a name or email. An expired, invalid or changed version requires a new choice. Old course-analytics-consent is removed without automatically converting it to acceptance. course-admin-session is used only for administrator login, for up to eight hours; it is not a student cookie. The administrative editor uses skitbit-content and skitbit-activity in localStorage for previews and the last ten edits. These remain until manually deleted and are not created for visitors who do not use the editor. Old administrative password and email fields are removed when opening the site, if browser storage access is available.
3. Analytics
Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_C0PFXQRRVL, first-party visit and session identifiers, only after acceptance. The default lifetime is up to two years, refreshed with use. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights start under the same category and transmit navigation and performance data; we do not list nonexistent cookies for them.
4. Marketing and preferences
Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads, Clarity, Hotjar and remarketing are not installed. Marketing and Preferences are marked unused and remain false. Accept all enables only available optional services. Language comes from the URL without a language cookie. New services require reassessment and versioning.
5. Control and withdrawal
You have Accept all, Reject all and Customize. Analytics is unchecked initially. Cookie settings stays in the footer. Withdrawal disables GA, deletes accessible _ga cookies for the site domain and reloads to stop already loaded listeners. Choices synchronize across tabs. Provider-held data is not automatically erased; contact us regarding it.
6. Limits
If the browser blocks storage, your choice cannot persist between visits. Browser settings also allow deletion. External links open services with their own rules. Presentation videos use Vercel Blob without an embedded social player. Delivery and security data are described in the privacy policy.
